Mikael Selander — also known as Mikke Selander and formerly Mikke Hermansson — is a Swedish tech entrepreneur who has spent the past decade building and scaling technology products for the restaurant industry.
As CEO of Ancon, he transformed an outdated POS company into one of Sweden's fastest-growing tech firms, growing revenue from 7 to over 40 MSEK with zero venture capital. The company won Dagens Industri's prestigious Gazelle Award three years running, scaled from 8 to 30+ engineers and sales staff, and rewrote its entire tech stack from a legacy Windows client to cloud-native SaaS with mobile apps.
After being recruited by fintech bank Northmill to lead their POS venture, Selander left to pursue a larger vision. He had seen the same pattern repeated across the industry — every vendor gluing together third-party systems and calling it a solution. No one was building a real platform.
Vendion is his answer: a complete restaurant operating system — POS, staff management, table reservations, marketing, analytics, and three integrated AI agents — designed and built from scratch as a single codebase, single database product. It launches in 2026.
